Social Media Snippets

This is the kind of content that my digital team and I wanted to create at Northern Star Media, where the video tells the story along with some supplemental text. Due to chain-of-command issues we did not get to accomplish this, but a few videos (such as this one) did get to be created. We worked to capture the news as it was happening to provide a real-time snippet of events in articles that would be subsequently published. As a manager, this is one of the few videos that I got to be completely hands-on with.

I worked with the social media team to design posts for my chapter of Psi Chi. Posts on the page with the light blue color scheme are mine. I wanted to make a palette that was compatible with the national logo, but still something that would be unique to our individual chapter.

I have also worked on social media freelance projects. The photos from the above post are a part of a two video contract for @official_anniekamps. One is a dramatic retelling of her relationship with fitness and the other is a bubbly, lighthearted picture of her work with the community. I have also done some video work: one of my favorite projects was for a local coffee shop showcasing one of their new holiday blends.

For the past while I have been doing more pre-production work. I have been the lead on the research, planning, and outlining processes for the videos on this channel with the new light academia aesthetic. These videos consistently get over half a million views. To create these successful outlines I need to keep a constant eye out for internet trends across multiple platforms and consider which ones would be the most successful with our current audience.
